The deadline for application is April 15th.

To all Grade 12 graduating students (must be a Sparwood area citizen).

Must be attending Sparwood Secondary School, the Fernie Academy or taking online schooling and be a Sparwood area resident.

Recipients must be also attending a post-secondary school after graduating in the fall of the year or spring of the following year.

The Sparwood Lions Club Scholarship Committee will pick 2 graduating grade 12 students, to each receive a one thousand dollars ($1000.00) scholarships with the focus on volunteerism outside of school.

APPLICATION

• Write a letter essay on the program or field of study you are entering and how the scholarship will benefit you.

• Provide a resume of your volunteerism and community work.

• Provide three references, preferably one personal, one employment and one volunteer.
  

If you are selected as the successful candidate, to receive funds you must provide a copy of the letter of acceptance, certified from the post-secondary institution you will be attending.

Letters and applications requesting the scholarships must be received by May 1st and emailed to SparwoodLions@gmail.com or mailed to:
